M&S Foodhall & Café

Davies Associates were appointed by Creasey’s Limited to act as Quantity Surveyors for the redevelopment of part of their store to create an extended M&S Foodhall and a new M&S Café. The client’s brief included the requirement to extend the café space onto the quayside to make the most of the views to the marina, Herm and Sark and to introduce ‘al fresco’ dining to the seafront.

As with most retail developments, programme was critical to the success of the project, as was minimising the disruption to the rest of the store during the works. Davies Associates worked with the client team and contractor to introduce a phasing strategy to ensure the client could maximise trading throughout.

The project was completed in July 2018 and provides St Peter Port’s seafront with a unique ‘al fresco’ café experience.
